Like Gorilla glass Dragontrail glass is also a very hard, scratch resistant alkali-aluminosilicate sheet glass that was launched in the year 2011. It is manufactured by a Japanese company Asahi Glass Co., therefore it is also called Asahi Dragontrail glass or AGC Dragontrail glass.

Dragontrail glass is relatively new in the market as compared to Gorilla glass. It is a very good and durable product both in terms of quality and performance. Some says that it is even stronger or tougher than the Gorilla glass. This means that it will prove to be a good competitor of the Gorilla Glass. The main properties of Dragontrail glass is its thinness, scratch resistance and hardness. Its Vickers hardness test rating is 595 to 673.

How Dragontrail Glass in Manufactured?

It is manufactured by using a highly efficient float process.

Main Features of Asahi Dragontrail Glass

  • Scratch Resistant
  • Very Tough to Break
  • Very Thin and Lightweight glass
  • Very Durable Glass

"Integrated Electronics" was considered as a possible name, but was taken, so the first syllables of each word were used instead. "Intel," described by Noyce as "sort of sexy," was eventually agreed upon. The pair then purchased the "Intel" trademark from the Intelco hotel chain for just $15,000.
